Buccaneers Camp Day 4
The first day of August was a hot one, and things heated up on the practice fields at Walt Disney World Wide World of Sports. Day four of the 2005 Buccaneers pre-season camp had a little good, a little bad, and a little ugly. But then that’s expected early in camp, particularly on the second day of workouts in full pads.
The good was the way the Bucs offense attacked in the “red-zone”, especially the running of Carnell Williams and Michael Pittman I like the “Rocket Formation” which features Pittman and Williams in the backfield out of the “pro set’.
The bad was turnovers. Earnest Graham…..listed third on the depth chart at tailback laid a few on the ground. Head Coach Jon Gruden was not pleased.
The ugly was special teams practice in the afternoon. That will continue to be a work in progress. Kickers Matt Bryant and Todd France did make 7 of 8 field goals in the morning session.
